A very beautiful early Ludwig Blue Oyster from 1961                                 22/13/16

This is a true stunner in sound and looks. Has the rarer Trans badges only used for a couple of years and the oyster pattern is slightly larger than later models. All unpainted interiors with the earlier and slightly larger re-rings, all edges are great and and complete the warmer sounding brass hoops not seen on Ludwig’s after 64.

At some point the legs on the floor tom were changed out, now put back to spring loaded, there is one extra hole on each mount, and two on the bass drum, all has been painstakingly  plastic welded and are almost invisible, even close up. The holes on the floor tom are also under the mounts so not seen at all.
