Here we have a very rare and beautiful 14x 5” D.L Walker solid shell (Walnut) snare that sounds absolutely phenomenal.
Very little is known about this company but my guess is it’s about 20 years old. The JK engraving on the top hoop looks very much like John Aldridges work.
Having seen, played and examined many solid shell Radio kings, older Ludwigs and even Craviotto I can firmly say this is among if not the best made solid shell I’ve seen.
Warm throaty attack with plenty of bite and tone. Would work in any situation.
