The 14 x 5 Ludwig Acrolite is widely considered one of the most recorded and versatile snare drums in history. Originally introduced by Ludwig in 1962–1963 as a Prototype with a welded seam. The drum then went on to be a spun shell.

This drum sounds absolutely fantastic, with a darker note than a Supra.
There are sone scratches and marks that are in keeping with a 60 year old drum.
Some unoriginal tuning rods but other than that it’s in fine condition.
Comes with a Ludwig brass batter hoop on top. 65 was the year they used brass and is common to see a mix of hoops from this year.
